Strobing is a relative “new” word in the makeup industry, which started to circulate on social media last year. Some of you already know what it is but I think there are a lot of readers out there who might have missed it …
Vad är Strobing?
Jag svarar som alla andra makeupartister i branschen. Strobing är egentligen ett lite finare ord för det gamla hedliga konceptet Highlight:) Det är inget nytt utan det är egentligen samma sak som att alltså highlighta partier i ansiktet! Däremot så ser det liiite annorlunda ut då strobing innebär att man skippar att kombinera “highlighten” med shading/contouring (skuggtekniker som man bland annat sett massvis på Kim Kardashian) Man satsar helt enkelt på att endast framhäva de punkter man vill ta fram i ansiktet med rejäl lyster! Det får nästan se lite glansigt/blött ut.
What´s strobing?
I answer like the other makeup artists in the business. Strobing is actually a fancy word for the quite old concept Highlight 🙂 There is nothing new, it’s really the same thing as to highlight specific areas in the face! However, it looks a little bit different though, because strobing means that you skip to combine the “highlight” with shading or contouring (the shading techniques you´ve seen on Kim Kardashian) You simply focus to only emphasize the points in your face that you want to come forward with shine & luster! It can almost see a little bit glossy or wet.

Några nyheter som jag älskar att “stroba” med: De nya Glow Kit Paletterna* från Anastasia Beverly Hills! Så fina, de påminner dock om deras Illuminators som de nyss släppte! Däremot kommer ju dessa i kit vilket underlättar när man är ute och jobbar. Kiten är inte släppta i Sverige än dessvärre utan finns på Anastasias hemsida för $40.00.
Some product news that I love to use while strobing is the new Glow Kit Paletterna* from Anastasia Beverly Hills! They look so nice on and reminds me, however, of their Illuminators that they released last year. After all these comes in kits which helps a lot when you are out working on the fiels. The kits are not released in Sweden yet unfortunately but are available at Anastasias website for $ 40.00.

The That Glow comes in warm tones while Gleam is a bit colder. In my makeup above I have used the colors Mimosa & Crushed Pearl.

Jag föredrar faktiskt att stroba eller highlighta med krämiga produkter. Det har jag gjort sedan jag startade som Mua 2005! Favoriten är utan tvekan Skin illuminator Pink från No 7 (149 Kr på Apotek Hjärtat) Bra pris och lätta att införskaffa då Anastasia’s produkter kan vara knepiga att få tag på i Sverige!

I normally I prefer to do the strobing/highlight with creamy products…that I have done since I started as a Mua 2005! The favorite is undoubtedly the Skin illuminator Pink from No 7 (149SEK at the Pharmacy Apotek Hjärtat ) Good price and easy to obtain when Anastasia’s products can be tricky to get!
